Matahachi Hon'iden

Matahachi Hon'iden is a young samurai hopeful, eager to prove himself and achieve greatness. He is impulsive and often finds himself swayed by the promise of glory and adventure, despite his lack of discipline and foresight. Matahachi Hon'iden is known for his ability to get into trouble, largely due to his overconfidence and tendency to act without thinking.

At the beginning, he is seen leaving his village alongside his childhood friend, dreaming of becoming a renowned warrior. His personality is a mix of enthusiasm and naivety, which sometimes puts him at odds with the harsh realities of the path he has chosen. Despite his flaws, there's an underlying loyalty and a desire for approval that drive many of his actions.
